Job SUMMARY

We are looking for a talented Python Developer with an unparalleled appetite to push the boundaries for an exciting and innovative technology business at a time of unprecedented fast growth.

The company has the most modern, creative and intelligent toolset for making interactive videos that are already used by some tens of thousands of users, with clients including some of the worlds leading entertainment brands, broadcasters, sporting platforms, fashion brands and internationally leading businesses within various markets.

They are already leading the way in innovation with cloud-based interactive videos, and are moving even further ahead with their next generation of  technology which will further distinguish their outstanding offering.

As a result of this, they have a strong need for a Python Developer to join their very talented team and like minded developers to help build and maintain a range of exciting products.
 

The required knowledge and experience of the Python Developer:

  • Great Python experience

  • Great experience of working with distributed systems

  • Good knowledge of NumPy

  • Good knowledge of MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases

  • Experience of working with AWS services or similar cloud based systems

  • Great Django experience

  • Test writing experience would be beneficial

  • At least 2 years experience with Python in a commercial environment

  • Good experience with server-side web development in general

  • Some web development experience with html, css and javascript would be beneficial but not a necessity

  • Good working knowledge of open-source databases, e.g. MySQL or PostgreSQL or similar

  • Working knowledge of distributed source-code control, such as git or mercurial
