Recently, Minute Media was tasked with increasing brand awareness for Japanese tire giant, Yokohama, by leveraging the company’s sponsorship of Chelsea FC and accessing their top talent.
Minute Media turned to interactive video via WIREWAX Studio to help them take on the challenge – crafting a framework for an exclusive choose-your-adventure CFC tour, perfectly crafted for boosting engagement, viewer action, and audience immersion.
The Choose-Your-Own-Adventure-style branching experience has the core objective of allowing Chelsea FC fans and other football supporters VIP access to both CFC’s training ground and iconic Stamford Bridge Stadium. The interactive video experience allows fans to live out the dream of meeting the manager, Frank Lampard, and several of CFC’s star players.
Utilizing WIREWAX Studio’s hotspot and branching capabilities, the team at Minute Media were able to craft an experience that did just this – all within a slick video experience embedded onsite to delight loyal readers.
Minute Media considered the experience of the viewer as paramount, and success for the interactivity hinged on the attention and participation of their audience. To achieve a sense of immersion and reality as close to the real thing as possible, the team utilized a Point-Of-View film approach. For maximum visual appeal, the team crafted specialist graphics which they uploaded as custom hotspots, encouraging audience engagement at each decision point.
Finally, when it came to distribution, Minute Media leveraged the colossal football hub of 90min.com, using WIREWAX’s versatile HTML player capabilities to deploy localized variations of the interactive video experience in six different languages, targeting Yokohama’s core markets.
